Recipients of the Alliance Excellence Awards have demonstrated remarkable results across various metrics, including revenue growth, new market penetration, product/service/technology enhancements, social impact, and advancement of the alliance management profession. These alliances have positively influenced numerous aspects of business, such as marketing, sales, research and development, joint product development, regulatory affairs, strategic sourcing and services, and channel management.

Organizational Categories

  • Corporate Social Responsibility - Honors alliances that apply exemplary management practices to advance significant societal goals. This recognition celebrates collaborations that effectively adapt alliance methodologies to address sustainability, health, or other social challenges, demonstrating measurable impact through purposeful partnership strategies. (e.g., sustainability, health, poverty, environment, etc.) 
  • Emerging Alliance - Celebrates promising alliances that demonstrate exceptional implementation of best practices during the critical foundation phases. This recognition honors collaborations that have effectively adapted alliance methodologies during strategy development, partner selection, negotiation, design, and launch—creating early value and establishing a strong foundation for continued success.
  • Enduring Alliance - Recognizes mature alliances that demonstrate sustained excellence through consistent application of best practices over time. This award honors partnerships that have successfully navigated transitions, achieved or exceeded defined goals, and clearly demonstrate the critical role of alliance management in driving measurable success throughout the collaboration's life cycle. 

  • Innovative Collaboration - Recognizes groundbreaking approaches to alliance management that advance industry practices. This award honors innovations in tools, processes, governance, or strategies that deliver measurable benefits and offer valuable insights for the broader alliance management community. (i.e., metrics, training, conflict resolution, communication approaches). 

Individual Categories

  • NEW! Emerging Leader - Recognizes exceptional alliance and partnering professionals with 0-5 years of experience who are actively pursuing their CA-AM certification or have already earned it. This award honors individuals who exceed performance expectations, effectively implement best practices, successfully manage stakeholders, and actively enhance the visibility and value of alliance management within their organizations.
  • NEW! Champion - Honors CA-AM certified professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in managing teams and navigating complex alliances and ecosystems. This award recognizes alliance champions who consistently apply advanced management practices, drive meaningful outcomes across multiple partnerships, and elevate the strategic importance of alliance management within their organizations.
  • NEW! Executive Leadership - Recognizes CSAP certified executives who demonstrate exceptional strategic leadership in overseeing alliance and partnership portfolios at the highest organizational levels. This award honors C-suite leaders, or those reporting directly to the C-suite, who drive enterprise-wide alliance strategy, champion partnership innovation, and leverage alliance portfolios to achieve significant business impact and competitive advantage.
  • NEW! ASAP Service & Achievement - Celebrates extraordinary dedication to advancing both ASAP and the broader alliance management profession. This award honors members who consistently demonstrate exceptional service, leadership, and commitment—going above and beyond to strengthen the alliance community, contribute valuable knowledge, mentor professionals, and elevate standards of excellence across the alliance management discipline.

Historical Award Categories

  • Alliance Program ExcellenceRecognized organizations that instilled the capability to consistently implement and manage alliance portfolios and demonstrated consistent success of those alliances over time. Award recipients have programs built on an integrated suite of processes, tools, professional development and/or certifications.
  • Best Ecosystem Solution - Recognizes innovative collaborations of four or more partners delivering unique solutions. In ecosystems, management differs from bilateral alliances, strategies for handling multi-partner dynamics are needed, and often justification of the need for an ecosystem approach is required. Winners in this category exemplify partnerships that leverage diverse strengths to create exceptional value in today's interconnected business landscape. 
  • Growth Company Alliance Management Excellence
  • Individual Alliance Excellence - Recognizes excellence in managing a single alliance (between two or more organizations) in any phase of the alliance life cycle, including but not limited to planning, partnering, building the governance for, implementing, executing, exiting, or transforming the alliance. Awards are given in the following subcategories.  
  • Small- and Mid-Sized Company Alliance - Recognized high-impact alliances between companies with less than $500 million in revenues.
